The Durham County Card

Since 2020, all current playing members of clubs in the Durham Union and Association are eligible for a County Card as a benefit of affiliation. The Durham County Card is accepted at over 1,200 clubs throughout Durham and England where a discounted green fee will be offered.

Participating clubs will decide on the County Card green fee (typically the members' guest rate) and any restrictions for use. There will be no charge for the card other than the affiliation fee that every golfer already pays as part of their annual club subscription.

Members of Durham clubs which choose not to accept the County Card will still be eligible to receive a card and use it at other participating clubs.

Getting Your Card

How to apply / obtain a card

Available from your Club Secretary
Cards are available from a golfer's home club and will be valid from the date of issue until the date on which their next club subscription fee is due. If your card is not issued automatically at renewal, request it from your Club Secretary or Manager.
Validity & Renewal
Each card will be signed by the club and remain valid until the club's next subscription renewal date. At that point, on payment of your club and affiliation fees, you will receive a new card for the following year.
Using the Card
Present your signed County Card when booking or arriving at a participating club. The green fee offered will be at the club's discretion — typically the members' guest rate. Check with each club for any restrictions on availability.
No Cost to You
There is no additional charge for the County Card. It is a free benefit included in every golfer's annual club subscription as part of their club's DCGU affiliation fee. No separate registration or payment is required.
