County Card
County Card Scheme (Over 60) A member of that Club on payment of £15.00 can only obtain a County Card from the Secretary of a participating Golf Club. The County Card is only valid from 1 January to 31 December each year. Each holder must be 60 years or over. The card entitles the holder to one day's golf on each of the listed courses on payment of £5.00. No round may commence before 10.00am or later than 4.00pm, Monday to Friday inclusive and the card is NOT valid for weekends or public holidays. The card holder MUST contact the Secretary/Professional or Club official at least forty eight hours prior to wanting to play, in order to make sure there are times available. The card CANNOT be used for Society outings or other organised visits. The holder of the card is asked to observe the above and comply with the rules of the Club he is visiting, especially regarding dress. County Members Privilege Scheme The Clubs listed participate in the County Members Privilege Scheme, whereby Members of those Clubs only, may play on the courses of participating Clubs for the same fee as if playing with a member. County Membership Scheme Members of Golf Clubs, which are in the Union, may become County Members of the Union subject to the right of the Executive Committee to refuse County Membership to any person without assigning any reason for such refusal. The Secretary of the Club of which the nominee is a member must submit a nomination for membership on a nomination form. The subscription shall be £4.00 per annum, payable on nomination and thereafter on 1st November in each year by Banker's Order. A member may become a County Life Member on payment of £40.00. County member's ties are available from the County Secretary at £5.00 each. All County Members will receive a copy of the Union's Year Book, which incorporates the County Fixture List. All County Members shall be eligible to compete in any competitions arranged for County Members and such meetings shall come under the jurisdiction of the County Members Committee. Competitions will be arranged in the Spring, Summer (pairs) and Autumn of each year for County members. The winners of the Spring and Autumn events will go forward to a final and the winners of the finals (overall Spring and Autumn winners) will be presented with trophies by the Union. A County Member, by reason only of his County Membership, shall not be entitled to attend and vote at any Annual or other Council meeting of the Union.
